Grade 3-4. Approx. duration: nine minutes.
Set includes a score and four parts.
This straightforward piece for saxophone quartet is built around two motives, the first of which reveals through tonal and timbral resources a slow but experimental character; the second, marked, “giocoso,” is based on traditional Brazilian music, especially “cheap circus” music.
Premiere performance of Edson Beltrami’s Fantasy No 1 by the SaxBrasil saxophone quartet at the 12th International University Saxophone Encounter in Mexico in 2013.
