“Miniature” is a term borrowed from the plastic arts in which a small object is artisanally treated with maximum precision by the object’s creator to generate a perfect work in both technique and beauty. Following this idea, “Three Miniatures” consists of an elaboration and investigation of post tonal music in three short pieces for solo flute. Although each of its three movements can be performed independently it is suggested that these should be played consecutively so as to gain an ample and complete perspective of this aesthetic phenomena.
