Daniel Cueto
Daniel Cueto (b. 1986) is a Peruvian composer and flutist. Currently residing in Europe, his works reflect his broad cultural experience, revealing strong ties to both European and South American traditions. His music has been performed in nearly a dozen countries, including Germany, France, Spain, Malta, the USA, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru. Additionally, he has fulfilled commissions for such institutions as Deutschlandradio, the Robert-Schumann University Düsseldorf and the Fundació Güell, and was invited to serve as member of the jury in the 29th Composition Competition of the City of Siegburg.
Daniel Cueto teaches music theory and aural skills at the Cologne University of Music and Dance (HfMT Köln). He holds degrees in composition (M.Mus) and music theory (B.Mus) from the same institution, as well as a degree in flute performance (Diplom) from the Robert-Schumann University Düsseldorf.
