Quintet for flute, bass clarinet, guitar, violin and contrabass.
Grade 4. Approx. duration: eight and a half minutes.
Set includes score and six parts (the sixth part for piano substitutes the guitar part).
The composer’s idea behind this piece is to produce a sonic environment diametrically opposed to that of the daily noises and other elements that assault us in urban public spaces, such as traffic noises, exhaust gasses, shouting salesmen, overly loud music, etc. For this reason, “Chacala” is an almost silent piece in which its elements constantly but slowly flow in order to create a tranquil, timeless environment that serves as a refuge from the demands imposed upon us by our daily lives.
